Allergen Screening

ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) is the industry standard for the quantitative screening of allergens in food products, environmental surfaces, and rinse waters. It uses specific antibodies to detect “marker” proteins unique to an allergen, producing a measurable colour change that indicates the allergen’s concentration.  At Marfleet Analytical we use ELISA for the screening of the 14 mandatory allergens, individually or as a suite.
